logo van JSTOR 117 electronic journals of JSTOR-Phase I Collection (alphabetical list - subject list) are now accessible within the UvA domain.
JSTOR is a unique initiative supported by approximately 700 libraries. JSTOR digitalizes the complete backfiles of printed scholarly and scientific journals. They make use of a socalled 'moving wall', that defines the point at which the JSTOR archive stops, and "current" issues start. The moving wall is a fixed number of years (meaning that the last issue available in the JSTOR archive would be one published this fixed number of years ago). As each year passes, another year is added to the archive, thus guaranteeing that the archive is being constantly updated and refreshed.
The journals can be searched (author, title, abstract, full-text) and several journals can be searched at the same time.
