It is almost impossible to park your car near the library. However, it is well served by public transport from the central station and other parts of the city: tram lines 1, 2, 5 and 11 (alight at Spui or Koningsplein)

Publications
There are many publications about the collection, not just articles but also catalogues of various exhibitions. Some of these publications are for sale in the Map room, as are three reproductions of maps.
Collection
The cartographic  collection  includes among others: Unique and rare printed broadsheet maps, some important manuscript maps on vellum, the Amsterdam Golden Age of cartography. Early official topographical series (including all such maps issued in the Netherlands), many foreign examples, early thematic cartography, town plans, maritime chart series from the Netherlands and abroad. Extensive topographical and thematic collections of the former Dutch East Indies and New Guinea; cartography in education.
