Hot Spot: IFLA conference

From August 16 to 21, the 64th IFLA conference will take place in Amsterdam at the RAI Congress Centre. It is the third time in its history that the conference is held in the Netherlands. Earlier conferences were held in The Hague and Amsterdam (1939) and in Scheveningen (1966). IFLA (the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) was founded on September 30, 1927 in Edinburgh.

This year's conference theme is: On crossroads of information and culture.
During the conference you can visit an exhibition in the Delta Hall of the RAI, where many companies, sponsors, and organizations related to the library field will offer there products or services. The Amsterdam library network Adamnet will also have a booth.
The entrance fee to the exhibition is 250,-; the registration fee for the whole conference is 850,-.
The conference program can be read in PDF format.
